Watling Place is the first phase of the 48-acre £600 million masterplan to regenerate South Kilburn and build nearly 1,700 new homes. The 113 affordable, 20 shared ownership and 20 private sale apartments alternate lower and higher rise structures along a narrow railway-side site. The 11-storey blocks on Albert Road are clad in an Italian porcelain clay composite rain screen, have generous balconies, landscaped courtyards, communal gardens with play areas all within a tight budget. The project has photovoltaic panels, triple glazed windows, green roofs and meets Code for Sustainable Homes 4. We provided all mechanical and electrical services.
