A shop, café and specialist kitchen are accommodated within the double-height ground floor space behind the entrance to 30 St Mary Axe. A new commercial kitchen level is suspended from the ceiling creating a striking, sculpted steel ceiling to the café level below. Both the mezzanine and stair are fabricated from 3mm steel panels. Steel is also used for furniture, while warmth is added by an end-grain oak floor and distinctive glass panels, back painted in a rich purple hue that allows the seamless integration of the client’s established brand. We provided all mechanical and electrical services.
